At its center, Lakshmi herself — cast in rich antique gold, framed by ruby-red and emerald-green enamel work in the old temple tradition, hung with carved emerald beads that catch the light like something inherited rather than bought. Nine strands of seed pearls fall from the collar, so the weight builds slowly until it reaches her.
